3 Position 2 Pole Toggle Switch

An on-off-on mini toggle switch works by using a metal lever that moves a metal contact between three positions. The lever is attached to a spring that keeps it in place when it is not being moved. When the lever is moved to the first "on" position, it closes the circuit by connecting the two metal contacts. When the lever is moved to the "off" position, the metal contact breaks the connection between the two contacts. When the lever is moved to the second "on" position, it connects the two contacts again and the circuit is closed.
