Illuminated Tact Micro Switch

Illuminated tact switches are commonly used in electronic devices for user-interface, such as remote controllers, gaming equipment, and digital appliances. They are designed to provide a tactile indication with audible feedback when a user presses the switch. The illuminated tact switch with 13mm power cap is a relatively newer version of the standard illuminated tact switch, with improved power capabilities.

The illuminated tact switch typically consists of four main components - the actuator, the contacts, the dome, and the LEDs. The actuator is the part that users press to activate the switch. The contacts are the internal electrical circuits that respond to the pressing force, and typically consist of a metal pad on the printed circuit board (PCB) and a metal dome on the switch housing. The dome provides the tactile feedback and is responsible for triggering the contact. The LEDs are used to provide visual feedback when the switch is activate.
