LED Illuminated Button Switch

The 7x7mm vertical illuminated LED tact switch is typically constructed using a plastic housing, a metal dome, and a PCB (printed circuit board). The plastic housing holds all the components together and provides a base for the switch. The metal dome is a critical component that provides the tactile feedback when the switch is pressed. When the button is pressed, the metal dome deforms, producing a clicking sound.

The PCB is the circuit board that provides the electrical connections for the switch. The PCB includes the LED, which is mounted to the top of the switch. When the switch is pressed, the metal dome makes contact with the PCB, completing the electrical circuit and turning on the LED.
